SGS Certification Alpi SpA. The origin of all poplars used by Alpi S.p.A. to produce Alpilignum multilaminar sheets is certified and guaranteed by SGS, an independent international certification body; This important environmental certification confirms poplars come from Italian plantations and guarantees this feature is respected during the entire production cycle, from the receipt of raw materials to the shipment of finished products to customers, through an appropriate chain of ownership; This certification confirms the poplar used is an agricultural product: it is in fact cultivated in rotation with a growth period of 10 to 12 years; Thanks to this environmental certification, Alpi S.p.A. guarantees the poplar used is fully ecological , unlike other types of wood, this poplar is not obtained by felling any temperate, tropical or boreal forests; Alpilignum wood is the only multilaminar product whose origin is guaranteed by SGS certification; Using poplar Alpilignum multilaminar veneer, Alpi S.p.A. also produces high pressure laminate with wood surfaces (Alpikord) and wood edges for soft and postforming applications.
Wooden veneer
Produced with exclusive technology, this innovative wood is suitable for industrial use thanks to its endless advantages which range from its large dimensions to supply continuity and few defects. They are produced by bonding the multilaminar wood at a high pressure to obtain large uniform sheets with a melamine or varnished overlay. Alpi wood edges are available rough, varnished and/or with special supports for soft and postforming applications and with very thick multi-ply edges.
